Sydney rockers Gang Of Youths are ready for their most ambitious Australian headline tour this 2016. The national tour kicks off at the Tivoli in Brisbane on April 8, followed by All Ages shows in their hometown of Sydney, Adelaide and Perth, wrapping up with three consecutive shows in Melbourne.
2015 saw the band as triumphant thanks to their debut release The Positions, which not only received critical acclaim, they also had glowing reviews from Rolling Stone, The Guardian, Stereogum.
Their successful debut album lead them to be touted as one of the exciting new artists in Australia. This year's J Awards nominated them for Album of the Year. Plus, they also have 5 impressive ARIA Awards nominations including Best Rock Album, Breakthrough Artist and Best Australian Live Act.
The band are currently putting the finishing touches on their forthcoming ‘Let Me Be Clear’ EP, which is due for release in the coming months. On the impending release frontman and lead songwriter David Leaupepe says:
“‘Let Me Be Clear’ is a collection of music conceived during around the same time as The Positions was recorded. The recording, though conceptually tied to the debut LP is reflective less of the tribulations of fighting terminal illness but on the intimations of relationship, amity, sex and fear of the unknown.”
