The Pet Shop Boys, The Spice Girls, Pink Floyd, Annie Lennox, Ray Davies of The Kinks, Fatboy Slim and George Michael. And for the younger generation, who don't know The Kinks from The Knack, we had One Direction, Jessie J, Tinie Tempah and Taio Cruz. Yup, London sure knows how to throw a monumental "after-party" - as the ceremony was dubbed by Musical Director David Arnold.
Most of the footage of the Closing Ceremony has been blocked online, so if you missed out on all the action, these four videos should help fill in some of the gaps.
No doubt these videos will be taken down over the following days for pesky copyright reasons (the IOC have moved so swiftly to remove offending videos over the past few weeks that they deserve a medal of some form) so the sooner you watch, the better. Doesn't a ticking clock make this seem more exciting? The ceremony ended with The Who unleashing four of their classics, including My Generation. Sadly though, a clip of the performance is nowhere to be seen... yet. Luckily, The Spice Girls were far more interesting. Enjoy!
