Unleashing their voices, the OLC Music Collective will be performing their album Alternate Voices featuring 12 original songs illuminating their personal stories and their collective growth through the St Vincent de Paul Society's OLC music program.
The Ozanam Learning Centre (OLC) is a community inclusion service operated by St Vincent de Paul Society NSW. The OLC serves as a welcoming facility for people from all walks of life and aims to provide a safe and inclusive space. It is a place where everyone can connect, learn, and thrive through a diverse range of creative programs and specialised facilities, including the OLC music program.
Despite their diverse backgrounds, the band members have discovered a profound sense of purpose and belonging through their participation in the OLC music program and their shared journey as a band.
This album, Alternate Voices, serves as a creative platform for band members to find their voices and share their personal stories. With members expressing their thoughts, emotions, and experiences from the past and present, as well as their hopes for the future. It is a collective journey of self-expression and storytelling that enables their voices to be heard and resonate with others.
Alternate Voices has been recorded at the OLC music studio since July 2022. The studio is equipped with state-of-the-art digital and analogue equipment, offering participants a professional studio experience and the opportunity to see their work evolve from initial ideas to fully realised songs.
Alternate Voices is the third album produced through the OLC songwriting program.
The band is thrilled to be performing at the Factory Theatre and showcase their deeply personal music. We look forward to you joining us for an evening of impactful and meaningful music.
