The Tall Stories and The Outlierds

The Tall Stories are an earthy mix of dusty vocals over old school country blues. Tales of love, loss and dystopian world views provide both emotional reprieve and challenge to listeners alike. No new blue jeans here. The Tall Stories have appeared at Nimbin Roots, Nundle Rocks and Tamworth Country Music Festivals.

The Outliers oscillate in a twilight zone somewhere between rockabilly, blues, surf, country n’ soul at one end, garage and post-punk sounds at the other. No two songs alike but the constant thread being an untrammelled fire in the belly in their sound and an unashamed obscure rock n roll culture vulture mentality informing their song selection. None of this a surprise, with the outfit including members who played in early Australian ska and psychobilly bands (The Porkers & The Pool Players From Hell); but also local cult acts such as Huntress and The Australian Beefweek Show.
